Voltalis is a free smart thermostat for homes with electric heating. It connects to your radiators and electric boilers and lets you monitor and control them from your phone, tablet or computer – anytime, anywhere. 

The device also helps the electricity grid by briefly reducing your heating for a few minutes during peak times. You won’t notice a thing, but it reduces strain on the system and cuts carbon. You save energy, stay comfortable, and support a more sustainable future – all without lifting a finger. 

Voltalis works with most types of electric heating and cooling appliances, e.g. radiators – including convector, radiant and inertia heaters – as well as electric boilers, heat pumps, and HVAC. It does not connect to kitchen appliances, lighting, or other electrical items. 

Voltalis is completely free for users. We cover the cost of our smart thermostats, installation, maintenance and associated services for every customer.

Why? Because Voltalis is already paid by the electricity network for its contribution to securing stability and security of energy for the future.

During peak consumption period, when energy production drops or when there is a failure in the network, the electricity network compensates to maintain its balance, generally by activating fossil fuel power plants, which are polluting and expensive. At these times, Voltalis provides the electricity network with flexible load, enabling the network to reduce demand rather than increase supply, this avoids the need to use expensive carbon emitting power plants, limiting costs and CO2 emissions.

No. Voltalis works with all suppliers and tariffs, including off-peak/peak or green energy plans. You keep your current deal — we simply help you get more out of it. 

Not at all. Installation is quick, tidy and handled by qualified professionals. It takes around 15 minutes per appliance. The device blends in discreetly and doesn’t require any major changes or rewiring. 

One installed, it works by itself. You save electricity without having to interact with it or having to change your lifestyle. 

Yes. The installation is classed as a minor improvement and doesn’t affect the structure of the property. It’s also fully reversible if you move out.
